Eligibility for an expungement (or in some cases a reduction from felony to misdemeanor) usually comes down to two factors.
The first factor is completion of probation. You need to have satisfied the terms of your probation and paid all fines before you are eligible for an expungement. In some cases, you can petition the court to shorten the length of your probation.
